Dear Parents,
Thank you for your interest in Cardinal Hickey Academy. In addition to a strong, Catholic faith-based education, CHA offers a challenging curriculum, which includes the integration of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Our phonics-based reading program is supplemented with a comprehensive literature series. Spanish instruction is an integral part of our curriculum. Cardinal Hickey Academy has an outstanding Fine Arts curriculum including vocal music, art, band, recorders, drama, and a handbell choir.
Admission applications to the Academy must include your child’s:
An all-school weekly Mass is celebrated by one of our Regional Pastors each Friday. Many traditions of our Faith such as Adoration, Retreats, the Rosary, Stations of the Cross, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation are practiced at various times throughout the school year.
A variety of extra-curricular activities are offered. CHA students have the opportunity to participate in soccer and basketball. We offer student council and safety patrol. Students in grades 7 and 8 who demonstrate high levels of scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character may be invited to membership in the National Junior Honor Society. Various other extra-curricular clubs may be offered throughout the year.
Most of our graduates choose to continue their education in a Catholic high school setting and are accepted to their first choice Catholic high school. Nearly one-third of these students receive merit scholarship offers. The majority of our alumni excel in honors or AP-level courses at their respective high schools.
If you have any questions or would like your child (entering grades 3 - 8 only) to shadow for a day at CHA, please don’t hesitate to contact us at 410-286-0404 ext. 1018 or admissions@cardinalhickeyacademy.org
Once again, thank you for your interest in Cardinal Hickey Academy. We look forward to working with you and your children.
Sincerely in Christ,
Mrs. Dawn Nazzaro,
Principal
